HOW DO They WORK?
NuSnaps replace traditional friction-based snaps with a magnetic fastening system. Each side contains a powerful magnet inside a stainless steel hermetically sealed vault, helping the two pieces naturally find each other and connect without the usual forcing, twisting, or lining up. Once connected, the patented interlocking design helps resist sliding and keeps cushions, canvas, cooler toppers, and other marine accessories securely in place. They are easier to attach and remove than standard snaps, while still being built to handle moisture, corrosion, and everyday use on the water.

Surface Mount NuSnap™
This video shows the Surface Mount system.
Tip: Most boats with existing snaps you just need to uninstall the old snap hardware and using the same holes replace with your NuSnaps™ hardware. Done! (This is assuming your original snaps were installed in the correct locations, we recommend surface mount snaps not be more than 12-16 inches apart on high windward sides of the cushion)
Step#1: Install all your NuSnap™ Magsnaps to your cushion. See Video
Step#2: Uninstall the existing male snap on your boat.
Step#3: With the stainless steel 82 degree #8 x 3/4" long flathead screw that is included, screw in the NuSnap Surface mount into the existing hole hand tight. Do not over tighten, this will strip out the fiberglass.
Tip: If your existing hole is already stripped out, use some 3M-5200 in the hole, place surface mount, insert screw and let cure.
Step#4: Done!

Flush Mount NuSnap™
This video shows the Flush mount system.
Install using the existing holes from the original snaps:
Attention: If your cushion has both horizontal and vertical mounting snaps, pay close attention to the sequence below on marking and drilling the different surface holes. Failure to do so will cause vertical holes to be misaligned. Always do horizontal snaps first, then vertical snaps second.
Step#1: Install all your NuSnap™ Magsnaps to your cushion. (Same as the surface mount install video #2 above.)
Step#2: Uninstall the old snap from your boat. Using the existing hole from the old screw as your pilot hole, use a "Forstner Bit" to drill a 1&1/16" (do not use the size mentioned in the video, that was the earlier generation) diameter hole 7/16" deep in the fiberglass. Dry fit to make sure the part sits flush to the deck.
Step#3: Clean any debris out from in and around the hole. Slather some 3M-5200 or similar marine grade adhesive on the bottom and side walls of the hole & part. Insert the Flush mount and push down so the collar sits flush with the deck. You should see a little adhesive seep out from under the collar, wipe the excess away and clean part with a damp rag. Place a piece of Blue Painters tape over the part to hold it down while curing. We recommend letting it cure for 48hrs to be safe.
Tip: We recommend watching our guy Tony installing his in the video. Use a shop vac, long sleeves, gloves, mask and plenty of rags etc. It will make life easier, you do not want fiberglass on your skin, eyes or lungs! Don't take short cuts! You will regret it!
Cure 48hrs and its Miller time! Snap your self seating cushions in and hit the water. These are strong and tested at over 65mph on the water but we do not recommend trailering at highway speeds with your cushions on.
